Video Glasses

Video GalssesWhile recently looking for a new TV for the bedroom I stumbled across these Vuzix iWear. I know they must be brilliant for two reasons. One, they have the oh so unnecessary ā€œiā€ in the name and two, they are made by a company that sounds foreign but in a good way. By that I mean it sounds more German than Taiwan. The last time I had a look at these was a tec conference a couple of years ago and I did not think they were up to much cop. They were weighty, overpriced and generally low quality (picture wise). How technology has come on. The entry level specks from Vuzix come in at a pocket pleasing Ā£149.95! That’s way cheaper than they use to be and its vertually nothing compared to buying the TV equivalent. For your cash you get a set of glasses that can plug into virtually any device that plays video (including most iPods/phones) and the audio is relayed through a set of built in earphones. This could make long journeys allot easier, especially when you consider that 1 AA lithium battery can give you up to 17 hours of viewing time! If I did not have a wife I would have bought these bad boys in a heart beat over the 22ā€ LCD we now have. Its all about give an take. (I will buy them on the quiet after next pay day…. Shhhhhhh…). Oh and they works in 2d, AND 3D!!
